Q: Do
I need to have prior training?
A: No.
Reality Martial Arts welcomes men, women, and children of
all ages and all abilities. Our highly skilled instructors
are able to structure a class that suits everyone’s
needs.
Q. Can I attend a
trial class before signing up?
A: Yes,
we want you to be sure that this is the right sport/fitness
program for you. We only ask that, the participant,
or parent/guardian of a minor, to sign a waiver
release of liability.
Q. Do I need
special clothing and equipment?
A: Not
initially. In both Karate and Jiu-Jitsu you
will need a gi, a mouth guard, and pads. You
may purchase them directly from RMA, at a
discounted price, or purchase them yourself.
Q. Is there a registration
fee and/or a contract?
A: No,
we have no registration fee. Our memberships are offered
month-to-month, or short term contracts at a discounted
rate.
Q. Do women and
children train in Jiu-Jitsu?
A: Yes,
and we encourage women and children to train
in this sport/art. Today’s society can
be unsafe, and we believe one should know how
to protect onesself!
Q. Must I attend
a certain amount of classes weekly?
A: No.
It is, however, to your benefit to train as
often as possible. You will see results faster.
Q. Can I pay by
credit card?
A: Yes,
we accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American
Express. We also accept personal cheks and cash.
Q. Could I get injured
while training?
A: Yes,
there is a possibility whenever training in the
martial arts because, it is a contact sport. If
you have a pre-existing
injury or condition that limits you, we encourage
you to let your instructor know.
Q. Can parents/family
watch participants train?
A: Yes,
we have a waiting area for you to enjoy watching
our class. We encourage you to become a member and
make it “family time”.
